Safer Streets Organization People's Vision Zero to Hold a Crosswalk Paint Party Near the Great LA Walk This Saturday

People's Vision Zero, which describes itself as a "community organization protesting for safer streets and better governance by painting crosswalks at dangerous corners around LA" will be on the streets this Saturday, near the Great Los Angeles Walk, from 1 pm - 4 pm at the corner of Malcolm and Lindbrook in Westwood.

This reps the 11th crosswalk that People's Vision Zero has painted. Here's more info from their Instagram:

"It's not expected to rain Saturday, but it will probably rain Friday. We'll check the asphalt the morning of and confirm if we're still on. Make sure to check our Instagram story for updates!!! "I've scoped out the corner and it's relatively unsheltered at the top of a small hill so hopefully it'll be dry by 1 pm. "We are painting in the afternoon to coincide with Great LA Walk (@greatlawalk). They'll be walking the whole length of Wilshire from downtown to the beach starting at 9 am. This corner is a block off Wilshire, so we're hoping we'll be painting as the walkers stroll by."
