After meeting at the end of the walk and taking some pictures (and perhaps viewing an awesome sunset), we'll be heading to Ye Olde King's Head (116 Santa Monica Boulevard) to celebrate! (I wish I had the money to pay for all of us, but alas, you're on your own with covering your food/drink.) They've set aside a place in the pub area for Great LA Walkers to relax, order some food and beverage, and recap the day!
If you're not familiar with Ye Olde King's Head:
From its humble beginnings over 40 years ago, Ye Olde King’s Head has developed a reputation as one of the finest, most recognizable British Pubs in the World. Located only steps from the beach and 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. The Pub, a comfortable casual dining room, Outdoor patio and Gift Shoppe give you your true taste of Britain on the West Coast. Ye Olde King’s Head is a home away from home for British residents and tourists alike. We pride ourselves on being an Ambassador for all things British.
Established in 1974. Over three decades and numerous expansions later, Ye Olde King’s Head British Pub, Restaurant and Gift Shoppe is one of the top ten list of places to visit whilst in Santa Monica, California. Many hearty libations have been consumed here, plus many weddings, funerals, soccer games and Darts Matches. We are World Famous for our Food, Drink and Conversation. One newspaper put it best: “Ye Olde King’s Head is like the statue of Liberty on the West Coast."
See you on Saturday!
